Here are some shots of the mask I designed and created using craft foam and hot glue, then painted. It was inspired by my image, "The Last Dance" [link]

It was part of a costume that won the Costume Masquerade at CONduit, a Sci-Fi/Fantasy convention in UT in May 2004.

You know what it reminds me of? The mask David Bowie wears as Jareth in the Ball scene of the movie Labyrinth. You did an awesome job.

Impressive job on the painting. What techniques did you use to achieve the look and texture of aged bone?

Thanks. I used a paper towel the I wadded up and dabbed on the foam. Kind of like the ragging technique painters use for walls, but on a smaller scale :)

okay wait i kinda take that back because the more i look at it i see more of like....i dont know it wouldn't blend in with that scene. it has too much of its own unique character and unless they gave it to bowie himself it would have distracted the whole movie!
its SOOOOO amazing! you must definately make more like this!
