The Black-Eyed Susan is one of the most common of all American wildflowers. The characteristic brown, domed center is surrounded by bright yellow petals.

Black-eyed Susans grow in open woods, gardens, fields, and roadsides. They grow quickly in just about any kind of soil. They are a true sunshine worshiper that forgives neglect.

Black-eyed Susans are very competitive and can push other plants out of an area.
